Davis-Standard buys converting equipment supplier Deacro

Extrusion and converting systems supplier Davis-Standard LLC (Pawcatuck, CT) announced that it has acquired Deacro Industries Ltd. (Mississauga, ON), which designs, manufactures and assembles slitting, rewinding and roll-handling equipment for the converting process of paper, film and foil materials.

“Deacro is a market leader in high-performance slitting and rewinding equipment technology for flexible packaging applications, and we are excited to welcome their dedicated team to Davis-Standard,” said Jim Murphy, President and CEO, in a prepared statement. Murphy added that both organizations share a common focus providing customers solutions, service and technology.

Deacro President Clarence Beishuizen returned the favor, remarking that in Davis-Standard it has a “partner committed to our customers, employees and advancing technology. Deacro will continue to operate and serve its customers as before and we are enthusiastic about our opportunities with Davis-Standard,” added Beishuizen.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
