Oracle Packaging installs new extrusion line

Oracle Packaging (Winston-Salem, NC) has added a new state-of-the-art extrusion line to its North Carolina manufacturing facility. Designed and installed by Davis-Standard, the line will double Oracle’s extrusion capacity.

The infrastructure investment was precipitated by a need for expanded production across a variety of sectors. The company’s 450,000-square-foot production plant in Winston-Salem has seen an uptick in business, particularly from the healthcare and consumer lidding sectors.

In addition to expanded capacity, the new Davis-Standard extrusion line brings versatility, expanding Oracle’s portfolio of extrusion technology and offering new capabilities to address Oracle’s customers’ evolving needs.

“The Davis-Standard extrusion line addresses a ‘good problem’” said Chris Payne, VP Sales & Marketing for Oracle Packaging: “The need for both increased manufacturing capacity and product flexibility. Among other specifics, the equipment also aligns with heightened customer demand for enhanced sealing performance for lidding, as well as overall cost-effectiveness.”

Oracle Packaging provides flexible packaging laminates to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, food, dairy, household, personal care, tobacco and industrial markets. It manufactures custom lid stock, pouch stock, cable armoring and sterilizable laminates requiring specific barrier and sealant performance.
