KraussMaffei Berstorff (Munich, Germany) announced today that Pipeline Plastics LLC (Westlake, TX) has placed several orders of pipe extrusion lines as part of a multi-facility expansion of its HDPE pipe business. The expansion will include the addition of 1000-mm pipe extrusion lines at Pipeline Plastics’ facilities in Levelland, TX, and Belle Fourche, SD.

Pipeline Plastics manufactures up to 40-inch-diameter pipe systems for industrial and municipal water and oil and gas systems. KraussMaffei Berstorff closed the deal of extrusion lines for HDPE smooth-wall pressure pipes at NPE2018. The transaction is part of a larger expansion plan that will include additional equipment at the Levelland location and a new facility to be located in the southeastern United States.

"We have a long history of working with KraussMaffei Berstorff and have had great results with their extrusion equipment,” said Mr. Fisher, founder and CEO of Pipeline Plastics. “Our Decatur, Texas, facility is equipped with KraussMaffei Berstorff extrusion lines, which exceeded our expectations in performance and reliability. We expect to have our Levelland expansion operational by the end of the fourth quarter of this year, and our South Dakota expansion completed in the beginning 2019.”

The new southeast coast facility is planned to be up and running in the third quarter of 2019.
