Molecor forms joint venture with South African pipe company

Sizabantu Piping Systems will manufacture the PVC-O pipes under license

Molecor (Madrid), a global supplier of molecular oriented PVC-O technology for pipes conveying water under pressure, announced that it will start manufacturing TOM PVC-O pipes in South Africa this year through a joint venture with Sizabantu Piping Systems (PTY) Ltd.

MolecorOver the past few years, Molecor has created a partnership with Sizabantu to develop the market, which has resulted in the supply of “hundreds of kilometers of TOM PVC-O pipes manufactured by Molecor fully compliant with the South African SANS 16422 specification,” according to Molecor.

Given the market opportunities in the region and acceptance of the product, Molecor made the decision to invest in South Africa by forming a joint venture with Sizabantu Piping. The new factory will be located in Richard Bay (KwaZuylu-Natal region) and the TOM PVC-O technology pipes will be manufactured under license to Molecor Technology for South African counties.

Sizabantu Piping Systems is a well-established piping supplier that focuses on the agricultural, industrial and civil/infrastructural markets, said Molecor. They have a very experienced marketing team and well-positioned operations to offer the market excellent service. This operation allows the African company the opportunity to enter into the bulk water, high pressure and large-diameter pipe market, manufacturing PVC-O pipes with Molecor’s “groundbreaking technology.”

The Molecor technology manufacturing process is an automated continuous process, with individual quality control for each pipe, guaranteeing the reliability of the product through its entire useful life.
