Distinguished sports physician and surgeon Robert C. Palumbo, MD, will be the keynote speaker at the Spotlight Medical Extrusion and Secondary Operations conference in York, PA, next month. Hosted by extrusion technology company American Kuhne, the conference will be held on May 8 and 9 at the Marriott Courtyard in York, PA. American Kuhne is a brand of Graham Engineering Corp. Currently team physician for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team, Palumbo has served as an orthopedic consultant for Cirque de Soleil, the Orlando Ballet and Sea World. He is President and founder of the OAA Sports Medicine Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides medical education to sports medicine professionals. Palumbo is a second-opinion physician for the National Football League Players’ Association, as well as the head team physician for a AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team. He is a graduate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University, and performed his residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Spotlight medical extrusion conferences are held annually at various locations and convene a suite of expert presenters tackling topics such as medical-grade materials, processing challenges and case studies, said Graham Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Gina Haines.
