Feistkorn forced out from atop RKW

Article-Feistkorn forced out from atop RKW

Werner Feistkorn, chairman and CEO for many years at RKW Group (Frankenthal, Germany), one of Europe’s leading processors of polyolefin films, has been pushed out of the company by its supervisory board effective immediately, according to a company press release dated May 20, 2009. RKW includes 18 processing facilities, employs more than 2700 and had 2008 sales of €680 million.

Roland Roth, who also has been a longtime member of the company’s executive manage¬ment board, takes over the position of CEO and will continue the business together with his colleague Knut Michelberger.

According to the company’s release, Feistkorn’s removal was forced due to “differing opinions about the development of the company in the future.”

Asked to offer details as to the nature of the dispute, Alexandra Jaranilla, director corporate marketing & communications, told MPW the company would not comment further on Feistkorn’s removal.

Feistkorn formerly headed extruder manufacturer Kiefel, which was acquired by RKW but subsequently sold to Brückner Group (Siegsdorf, Germany) in early 2007. [email protected]
