Flambeau Inc. has acquired Partners in Plastics LLC (PIP; Sharon Center), a Northeast Ohio based blowmolder serving the healthcare, lawn and garden, agriculture, consumer products, industrial, and fuel tank markets. This move for Flambeau, a subsidiary of Nordic Group of Companies Ltd. (Baraboo, WI), comes only five months after it successfully merged the MasterCraft Companies of Phoenix.

PIP's Sharon Center facility covers 123,000-sq-ft and is ISO 9001:2000 quality and UL certified. The site operates 15 dual-head blowmolding machines with shot sizes ranging from 3-40 lb.

PIP has run polyolefin materials, including high-density and high-molecular-weight polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as polyphenylene ether resin and polystyrene blend Noryl, urethane, and polycarbonate/polybutylene terephthalate PC/PBT blend Xenoy.

Flambeau has seven U.S.-based manufacturing sites, including an injection molding site in Middlefield, OH. Blowmolding sites are located in Baraboo, WI (30 Blow Molding Presses: 1-35 lbs shot); Columbus, IN (four blowmolding presses: 1-35 lb shot); Madison, GA (eight blowmolding presses: 1-20 lb shot); Redlands, CA (nine blowmolding presses: 1-35 lb shot); Weldon, NC (22 blowmolding presses: 2-50 lb shot). Internationally, it has blowmolding capabilities in Ramsgate, England (16 blowmolding presses: 0.5-200 litre, 1-22 lb shot) and Saltillo, Mexico (15 blowmolding presses: 3-25 lb shot).
