Flexible automation helps organize bottles

Article-Flexible automation helps organize bottles

The Multipak packaging system was introduced at the NPE trade show in 2006 by this manufacturer of automation for blowmolding lines, which reports that to date, six have been sold with good results. The Multipak can be configured as a palletizer, a tray packer, a box packer or a gaylord packer depending on a processor’s requirements. “The industry’s response to the Multipak since its initial introduction during NPE 2006 has been very encouraging. It is the most advanced technological innovation Proco has made in recent years,” says John McCormick, president of the manufacturer. The Multipak unit comes equipped with an integral infeed conveyor ready to install into pre-existing production lines, or can be fed containers directly from a blowmolding machine. Bottles can be fed to it with necks up or down and it is able to stack or pack bottles onto a variety of different-sized pallets or into a variety of different-sized boxes.
