Two additions to a printing line allow for wider printing widths, longer repeat lengths, and the option of choosing between a Windmoller & Holscher Astraflex II wide-web cylinder press or a Novoflex C wide-web sleeve press technology. The Novoflex has eight- or 10-color decks with a maximum repeat length 49.25 inches (eight color) or 34.25 inches (10 color). A CL model is also available that allows 10 colors at repeat length of 49.25 inches. Printing widths for both machines range between 40 and 87 inches and printing speeds range from 1300 to 2000 ft/min.
The Procontrol TS Windows-based operating system includes a variety of menus and data storage. In a testimony to their real-world utility, a Novoflex CM was recently installed at the British printer, Parkside (Darton). The eight-color system has a printing width of 57 inches, maximum repeat length of 49 inches, and a speed of 3000 ft/min.
