Global expansion for Wentworth Blow Mold Group

Wentworth Blow Mold Group, supplier of blowmolds and PET preform molds for the packaging industry, has reengineered its supply chain in response to customer requests for lower mold prices and market forces that globalize manufacturing. Wentworth (Hamilton, ON) consolidated all manufacturing operations in North America to two main locations: PET and extrusion blowmold manufacturing in the main plant in Hamilton, ON; and PET preform, injection blowmold, and injection stretch blowmold manufacturing in the main plant in Vandalia, OH. In addition to this reorganization, a significant portion of overall manufacturing was moved to Wentworth''s lower-cost Polish facilities.

Both the Hamilton and Vandalia operations continue as headquarters and global activity centers for blowmolds and preform molds, respectively. The global sales team within North America operates from these two main locations. Additionally, global teams focusing on R&D and technological innovations are managed from North American headquarters.

In January 2006, Wentworth signed a strategic partnership agreement with Simko S.A. in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to provide technical support for blow and PET preform molds throughout South America. Currently, Wentworth has manufacturing and service centers located in Canada, the U.S., Poland, United Kingdom, Argentina, Singapore, and China.
