The cutting chambers can be replaced after exposure to extended wear during abrasive, glass-filled, or high-impact plastic applications.The tangential feed chamber insert accepts a range of rigid parts including bulky blowmolded parts, hot collapsed parisons, and trim. Throat sizes range from 16 by 16 inches to 16 by 32 inches, and horsepower ranges up to 100. The top-drop feed yields continuous feeding for high granulation capacity without flyback or parts-bounce.Rugged outboard pillow block bearings eliminate contamination of plastic material. Electrical/mechanical power actuators open and close the hinged front-feed hopper and hinged screen cradle to provide access to the cutting chamber, knives, and lift-out screens. An hour meter allows preventive maintenance scheduling on knives, bearings, and drive belts.
