Grinders economically process rigid PVC

Used to recycle industrial waste, a line of vertical rotary grinders operates at 120 rpm, offers 30,000 ft-lb/inch of torque, and has noise levels of 80 to 85 dbA. The grinders are engineered to cut through many materials, including rigid PVC. Material is ground into high-quality chip for feeding back into the production process.Throughput varies from 200 to 7000 lb/hr, depending on the model. The rotor shaft has solid steel disks, each pocketed to accept three knife holders, which are recessed into the rotor instead of placed on top for added operational strength. The CNC-machined rotor knives are six times indexable with a 180° rotation for easy maintenance. Flange bearing adjustments set the knife to 11/8-inch clearance from the counter knife, which is scalloped to accept the flight of the rotor knives and heat treated for strength. The grinders also offer a solid, one-piece forged steel shaft, a heavy-duty steel hopper and ram, and solid-state PLC controls that monitor and control all functions.
