High-tech wall-thickness gauge device eases work

Article-High-tech wall-thickness gauge device eases work

A sensor-integrated, digital-signal-processing wall-thickness gauge includes an integrated sensor that provides digital signal processing. Only completely

processed digital readings are transferred to the unit for display, statistical evaluation, and data storage. Unlike analogue measuring devices, the digital data transfer does not allow erratic reading due to electronic interference or other influences in the processor's lab. The MiniTest FH7000 can be used with all plastic materials. It is typically used to measure plastic bottles, injection moldings, sheets, as well as SMC or other large-sized components. Operating on the magnetostatic principle, it provides a measuring rate of up to 20 readings/sec. ElektroPhysik Dr. Steingroever GmbH & Co. KG, Cologne, Germany; +49 221 752040; www.electrophysik.com
