Injection molding equipment and services company Husky Injection Molding Systems (Bolton, ON, Canada) announced today the appointment of Dr. Jack Truong as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective February 1, 2016. Truong was previously the President and CEO of Electrolux North America and Executive Vice President, AB Electrolux Group.

In his role, Truong will have full oversight for the day-to-day operations of the business and assume leadership responsibility for executing on Husky's strategy and priorities, said the company in a news release.

"Having spent much of my career in the consumer products sector, I am familiar with the role packaging plays in influencing purchasing decisions," said Truong. Prior to Electrolux, Truong enjoyed a successful 22-year career at 3M, where he held senior leadership roles throughout the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Truong holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
