Dewpoints as low as -70°C can be measured accurately in plastic air dryers in less than 10 minutes with Michell Instruments Inc.’s (Danbury, CT) MDM300 advanced dewpoint hygrometer. The superfast response of the ceramic sensor employed does not rely on it being dried by a desiccant, which means that every measurement is fast—not just the first of the day. Moreover, efficient nickel-metal hydride batteries and power management circuitry provide the user with 48 hours of use between charges. In addition, a flat battery can be recharged to 90% of its full potential in just 20 minutes. With its Bluetooth connection, the MDM300 connects wirelessly to a PC. To maximize flexibility, measurements can be taken by means of external sensors, which are easily connected to the MDM300.
