German subcontractor to medtech industry begins €26 million expansion

A contract manufacturer offering extrusion, molding, and assembly services to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, Raumedic AG (Helmbrechts, Germany) has broken ground on a €26 million expansion.The new building, adjacent to Raumedic's headquarters, will comprise 9000 square meters (96,875 sq ft) of cleanroom, laboratory, logistics, and administrative space for approximately 200 workers.

A contract manufacturer offering extrusion, molding, and assembly services to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, Raumedic AG (Helmbrechts, Germany) has broken ground on a €26 million expansion.

The new building, adjacent to Raumedic's headquarters, will comprise 9000 square meters (96,875 sq ft) of cleanroom, laboratory, logistics, and administrative space for approximately 200 workers.

A member of the Rehau Group, Raumedic has expertise processing thermoplastic polymers and silicone for a range of medical and pharmaceutical applications. Material science, design, prototyping, toolmaking, engineering, R&D, and regulatory affairs resources are on site, enabling the company to successfully lead projects from the development phase to delivery of the final CE-marked product. Quality systems are certified to ISO 13485.
