ANTEC 2017 call for papers

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE; Bethel, CT) has announced a call for papers for ANTEC 2017 to be held in Anaheim, CA, on May 8 to 10. Papers are being solicited in 32 different topic areas from additive manufacturing to vinyl plastics, and cover all processes from injection and blowmolding to thermoforming. Materials, quality, sustainability and bioplastics are always important topics.

End markets are of great interest to attendees, as well, and include automotive, packaging, medical, pipe and building/construction, electrical and electronics. Papers regarding design and moldmaking and mold technology are also important to attendees.

Until she retired in September 2021, Clare Goldsberry reported on the plastics industry for more than 30 years. In addition to the 10,000+ articles she has written, by her own estimation, she is the author of several books, including The Business of Injection Molding: How to succeed as a custom molder and Purchasing Injection Molds: A buyers guide. Goldsberry is a member of the Plastics Pioneers Association. She reflected on her long career in "Time to Say Good-Bye."
