The center of gravity for plastics engineers can be found in Detroit next week, when the 77th edition of SPE ANTEC comes to town.
Dozens of sessions will explore a cornucopia of technical topics ranging from applied rheology, injection molding and single-screw extrusion to composites and medical materials.
Featured speakers at the four-day event include Greg Breyta from IBM Almaden Research Center talking about the breakthrough Volcat recycling technology (which we recently covered in PlasticsToday); Paul Krajewski from GM presenting a keynote on plastics in the future mobility ecosystem; and Mark Spalding from Dow Chemical, recipient of the 2019 SPE Research/Engineering Technology Award, discussing a fundamental approach to process design and troubleshooting.
More than 70 industry suppliers will be camped out in the exhibition hall, almost half of which are new to ANTEC.
A full program guide is available for download.
ANTEC 2019 runs from March 18 to 21.
