CPT adds new injection molding machine, automation offerings ahead of PLASTEC Midwest

Cincinnati Process Technologies (CPT), a distributor of machinery, parts, and services for the injection molding industry, has added new products to its offerings, including Asian Plastic Machinery molding machines and the WETEC line of automation equipment. Sales Manager Dane Bales said in a release that the company has a plan in place, including new products, expanded facilities, and great marketing outreach, to boost sales in 2014 by 20%.

As a part of that strategy, CPT, which will be exhibiting in booth 1755 at this year's PLASTEC Midwest (Sept. 10-12; McCormick Place; Chicago), recently hired Scott Drake as a Midwest account manager. Based in Chicago, Drake is building a network of independent sales representatives throughout the country as his company makes a bid to expand beyond its current Midwestern base.

In addition to new injection molding equipment, automation, and robotics, CPT also offers new, used, and remanufactured parts; control system retrofits; total machine repair services and calibration; and energy management systems.

Earlier this year, CPT expanded its offices, repair, and manufacturing facilities in Cincinnati to better serve customers. In conjunction with that, it continues to add engineering and service personnel. In addition to covering several models of injection molding machines, it provides remote diagnostic capabilities through the control retrofit systems it provides molders.

As a final leg of its growth strategy, CPT recently selected Cleveland-based Business Communications Solutions (BCSI) as its agency of record for marketing, advertising and public relations. BCSI founder and President Greg Rosenberg stated in a release that his company has built a strong presence in the plastics industry, including partnering with Polymer Ohio as well as several plastics manufacturers/compounders to promote the overall industry and drive sales, as well as improve employee awareness, morale and retention at those companies through targeted internal communications efforts.
