DME bringing new products to this week’s Amerimold
Staying up with the demands of the moldmaking industry, which appears to be on a roll with new business, isn't easy. DME Company, however, is making some big moves with some new products that it will showcase this week at Amerimold (April 13-14) in Rosemont, IL.
April 10, 2011
The company recently announced that it has expanded its MoldBasics product line with the introduction of several low-cost mold cooling products. The new MoldBasics hose connectors include sockets, plugs, extension plugs and replacement seals. These complement DME's Jiffy-Tite line of hose connectors, but "provide a larger array of products to meet a wider range of market needs," said DME business manager Jim Hunt. He added, "We've designed this line to offer a lower-cost, yet high-quality alternative to many products currently available. As always, we strive to listen to the demands of our customers and innovative product developments to meet those needs."
The new MoldBasics line offers DME plugs used with either DME flow-thru type sockets or DME automatic shut-off type sockets, said the company, and are designed for plastics molds in water, air or oil lines. All sockets can be used interchangeably with existing mold plugs.
Another one of the company's newest products is the Unitized Hot Runner System, a pre-wired and pre-assembled manifold system that comes without plates and ready to drop into a mold. "More of our customers are looking for this kind of system because it saves assembly time and labor costs," said Robert Starr, director of global marketing services for DME. "Additionally, we can make sure things are done properly. The wiring in these systems can be very complex depending on the system."
DME offer the Unitized Hot Runner System in two configurations - Galaxy and Stellar. Galaxy is for high-cavitation molds and Stellar is for micro molding (close pitch and center-to-center spacing on the nozzles). In addition to these newest products, DME will be exhibiting a full range of its products. If you're at Amerimold, stop by their booth, #540.
