Family-owned moldmakers Accede Mold & Tool Co., Inc. (Rochester, NY) and Kebo AG (Neuhausen, Switzerland) have announced a partnership to provide their respective customers with responsive regional service capabilities in North America and Europe.
Kebo first broached the idea of a partnership during discussions at NPE2018, said Accede in a press release posted on its website. The details of the agreement were hashed out at subsequent meetings at the companies’ facilities in the United States and Switzerland.
“This arrangement brings the best of both worlds to our customers,” said Camille Sackett, Accede’s Director of Business Development and Engineering Support. The quality, attention to detail and nimble responsiveness that come from working with a private family-owned company now is augmented by a global support network similar to what large public groups can offer, added Sackett.
Established in 1981, Accede is a full-service moldmaker offering high-end tooling solutions and turn-key services primarily for the consumer packaging and medical/labware markets, said the company. Its core competencies are in high cavitation two-shot, stack and SpinStack technology.
Nearly 40-year-old Kebo AG designs and manufactures high-performance injection molds for the medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory and cosmetics industries. The company has expertise in thin-wall products, in-mold labeling and closures for the packaging sector. A particular strength is its premium hot-runner technology, designed and built in house, which is integrated into its high-performance, high-cavitation and stack molds. Kebo has market share in Europe, Asia and North America.
