GW Plastics begins expansion of San Antonio facility

To meet growing demand for its services geared to the healthcare and automotive sectors, GW Plastics has begun work on a 14,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. The project is expected to be completed by April.

When finished, the facility will have a total of 51,000 square feet of advanced manufacturing and external warehouse space, allowing for improved process flow and future growth. In the last two years, GW Plastics has completed expansions at its headquarters in Bethel, VT, as well as at facilities in Tucson, AZ, and Dongguan, China. An expansion of the company’s thermoplastics and silicones manufacturing plants in Royalton, VT, also was recently completed. The company also has a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last September.

“GW has enjoyed ongoing year-over-year record revenue, and we are committed to supporting this growth by investing in our facilities,” said Brenan Riehl, President and CEO of GW Plastics.

GW Plastics is exhibiting at the co-located PLASTEC West and MD&M West event in Anaheim, CA, on Feb. 7 to 9.
