Heritage Mold Inc. earns ISO 9001:2008 certification

Heritage Mold Inc., a custom injection mold manufacturer in Rockford, IL, recently earned its ISO 9001:2008 certification from NSF International Strategic Registrations Ltd. The company is committed to continuous improvement in its processes and procedures in the growth of its business.

Additionally, Heritage Mold’s sister company, Legacy Plastics Inc., a custom plastic injection molding company, also achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification from NSF. “Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification establishes our commitment to the highest standards of excellence in quality management and will help us improves our processes and quality of service we provide to our customers,” said Franzen, who is also president of Legacy Plastics.
   
Heritage Mold was founded in 1978, and designs and manufactures small to medium-size high-quality injection molds for the hobby, electrical, infrastructure, telecommunications, automotive, personal care and consumer products markets.  Legacy Plastics evolved from Scion Technical Center, founded in 1988 and was reorganized as Legacy Plastics in 1997, and today provides design and manufacturing of custom thermoplastic products and components for generally the same markets as Heritage Mold.
