The additives supplier also has introduced a pump and filter combination unit to protect cooling passages, heat exchangers and water lines from rust.

ID Additives Inc. (LaGrange, IL), a North American supplier of additives to the plastics industry, has named PCS Co. of Fraser, MI, its exclusive distributor of iD Eco-Pro 360 rust removal systems to U.S. injection molders and mold makers.  The agreement is effective immediately.

ID Additives will continue to sell and market iD Eco-Pro 360 directly for rust-removal applications unrelated to injection molding, including extrusion, blow molding and non-plastics processes.

ID Eco-Pro 360 is a water-based, EPA-tested product that rapidly and effectively removes rust in injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and other systems.

Nick Sotos, President of iD Additives, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement. “PCS knows the benefits that iD Eco-Pro 360 can provide molders: [It has] a strong sales network and [is] one of the leading suppliers to the injection molding industry in the USA.”

Paul Hauser, Product Manager at PCS, commented: “We are pleased to be working with iD Additives. The iD Eco-Pro 360 is a great product and it fits the sustainability model that is so important to our industry, and to the planet. We look forward to helping iD Additives expand its reach to plastics injection molders and mold makers throughout the country.”

ID Eco-Pro 360 is an EPA-tested rust removal and prevention product suited for injection molds, blown film dies and other products. It removes mill oil, flash rust and white rust without etching; provides a protective coating for long-term rust protection; works on all ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces; and cleans, coats and seals, preventing further oxidation, according to the company.

The product is also re-usable: After filtering out any rust particles, all of the fluid used to clean a mold or other product can be re-used numerous times.

ID Additives will exhibit at PLASTEC West, co-located with Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West, in Anaheim, CA, on Feb. 11 to 13, 2020, at booth 3840. The company will be joined by more than 1900 suppliers at the event, which also includes WestPack, ATX Automation Technology and Design & Manufacturing. Go to the PLASTEC West website for further information.

In addition to iD Eco-Pro 360, which is available in 16-ounce spray bottles and 1-, 5- and 55-gallon containers, iD Additives has introduced iD Eco-Pro 360 Cart, a pump and filter combination unit. It removes rust and helps prevent its formation within cooling passages, heat exchangers and water lines. The built-in filter function allows the Eco-Pro 360 solution to maintain peak performance.

The new iD Eco-Pro 360 Cart is compatible with the iD Eco-Pro 360 chemical and runs on compressed air. Operating capacity is 5 to 55 gallons. The unit can be supplied with an HDPE drum in various sizes for use with iD Eco-Pro 360.
