Low-Speed Electric Chain Hoist Provides Accurate Positioning Of Molds

0201pn-20.jpgDavid Round, Inc.'s new line of ultra-low-speed electric chain hoists can be used to improve the vertical positioning accuracy of molds and other tooling. These two-speed hoists have an adjustable low-speed setting that can be set to under 2 ft/min without sacrificing the normal lift speed (15 ft/min) of the hoist, according to David Round's Sales Manager, DavidSealfon. He adds that other hoists typically have a second 'low' speed that is between 5 and 8 ft/min.

Models range in capacity from 1/2 to 5 tons. A variety of pendant configurations, as well as a low-speed trolleys, jib cranes and monorail systems are available. Prices are around $3000.
