Meusburger offers new flat-face centering unit with round fitting

Meusburger (Wolfurt, Austria), a manufacturer of precision standard parts for molds, jigs and fixtures, now offers a flat-face centering unit with round fitting. This innovative product offers an additional option for a reliable and exact final centering of the mold at the split line face. Due to its geometry, the unit is optimal for molds with unequal thermal expansion.

The easy introduction and positioning of the new E 1352 centering unit enables a high level of accuracy. A diamond-like carbon coating optimizes the product’s sliding properties and wear resistance.

The centering unit can be fixed from the split line face or the back side, enabling flexible installation. The unit is kept in the right position by means of dowel pins either at the side or on the front end. Because of the identical fitting dimensions, the flat-faced centering unit with round fitting is interchangeable with the Meusburger E 1310 centering unit. Consequently, the centering unit can be easily replaced in the event of unequal thermal expansion within the mold. The new component is available from stock in diameters ranging from 16 to 42 mm.
