Werner Wittmann, Managing Partner of the Wittmann Group, announced the appointment of Rainer Weingraber as Managing Director and CEO of Wittmann Battenfeld (Vienna), effective March 1, 2019. He succeeds the company’s longstanding Managing Director and CEO, Georg Tinschert, who will retire at the end of March.

In announcing the transition, Wittmann thanked Tinschert for his more than 10 years of successful service at the head of the company. Tinschert was appointed CEO at the end of 2007, and since that time Wittmann Battenfeld has experienced impressive technological and economic growth.
Weingraber, an industrial engineer with an MBA, has many years of management experience in international companies such as DaimlerChrysler, Siemens, Magna and, most recently, the Haas Group, where he worked as Managing Director.
Weingraber sees himself primarily as a well-rounded professional with a great affinity for technology and mechanical engineering.
