New injection molding, machining capacity at Laszeray

Laszeray Technology LLC has expanded its machining and injection molding capacity, helping fill out a 25,000-sq-ft expansion completed in 2012 by adding three Wittmann Battenfeld injection molding machines, two Mitsubishi wire EDM machining centers, and additional CNC milling equipment.

Ronald K. Fisher, Laszeray COO, declined to offer specific details on the company's financial performance, saying only that Laszeray (North Royalton, OH) has experienced "steady growth." The company now has more than 62,000 sq ft of production space, including 17 injection molding machines ranging from 65 to 720 tons, with two-shot capability, once the most recent machines are installed. The company's CNC production machining and custom tooling design and manufacturing operation now has 16 Haas CNC and Mitsubishi wire EDM machining centers. The expansion gives it room for further machinery investments.

Laszeray's 25,000-sq-ft expansion, completed in 2012, now includes three Wittmann Battenfeld injection molding cells.

"In our new building expansion we have floor space remaining available and are planning to add additional presses in 2014," Fisher told PlasticsToday. Fisher said Wittmann Battenfeld machines were chosen on the basis of "high quality, reliable, backed by world class support." Growth is being driven by a diverse group of customers and end markets, with specific applications in the consumer and commercial markets. Fisher declined to say how many employees  have been added as the company grows, noting only that, "Along with our steady growth, we've created many new manufacturing jobs in Northeast Ohio."

Laszeray was founded in 1995 and provides product design, rapid prototyping, custom tooling manufacturing, injection molding, CNC machining and secondary services including pad printing and assembly. Laszeray has customers in end markets including food preparation equipment, commercial, consumer, medical, aerospace, military, and recreational vehicles.
