ID Additives Inc. (LaGrange, IL) has introduced a system for removing rust from internal cooling lines. It is ideal for use with the company’s recently introduced rust removal and prevention product, iD Eco-Pro 360, which provides fast, eco-friendly rust removal on injection molds, blown film dies and other products.
The new iD Eco-Pro 360 Cart is a pump and filter combination unit. It removes rust and helps to prevent rust formation within cooling passages, heat exchangers and water lines. The built-in filter function allows the Eco-Pro 360 solution to remain at peak performance for optimal reusability.
“This new product is ideal for cleaning rust out of hard-to-reach internal channels, such as water lines in an injection mold,” said Nick Sotos, President of iD Additives. “It is perfect for the maintenance departments of molding facilities.”
The new iD Eco-Pro 360 Cart has no rubber seals or components that can be negatively affected by chemicals; it runs off compressed air, which means no electrical connections are needed. When used with iD Eco-Pro360, no water is needed, making the new system economical and resource friendly. It has an operating capacity of five to 55 gallons, and the unit can be supplied with an HDPE plastic drum for iD Eco-Pro 360 (various sizes available). The pump has a maximum flow rate of 13.5 gallons per minute.
The new unit is designed to work with iD Eco-Pro 360 but is also compatible with other cleaning products.
Water-based, EPA tested and verified iD Eco-Pro 360 removes mill oil, flash rust and white rust without etching and provides a protective coating for long-term rust protection. It works on all ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces, and cleans, coats and seals, thus preventing further oxidation. It also reduces labor, time and cost, and is made in the USA.
An added benefit of iD Eco-Pro 360 is that it is reusable. After filtering out any rust particles, all of the fluid used to clean a mold or other product can be re-used numerous times.
ID Eco-Pro 360 is available in 16-ounce spray bottles and one-, five and 55-gallon drums.
