Absolute Haitian will demo its third-generation Zhafir Zeres electric molding machine in booth 3839 at Plastec/MD&M West, running an eight-cavity mold producing polypropylene friction caps (pictured below) for a commercial aerosol container. The mold is provided by Engineered Molding Solutions.
The Sigmatek control system on ZE molding machines shipping in 2023 will include new control features introduced at K 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany, last October. The system enables rapid integration with manufacturing execution systems via open OPC UA standards. At Plastec West, a Gammaflux hot-runner system will be incorporated with the Sigmatek control. Additional smart control functions in third-generation Zhafir machines encompass energy management, process optimization, and clamp force optimization.
Zeres series electric molding machines include a unique integrated hydraulic circuit to facilitate molding applications that require core pull or sophisticated ejector functions, said Absolute Haitian, the exclusive distributor of Haitian and Zhafir injection molding machinery in the United States and Canada.
