Engel’s MiniCam program is a mold set-up “wizard” that requires minimal input of data before the machine can make its first shot. It calculates machine settings based on information including clamp speed (fast, medium, slow), material (the database has 36 grades), part weight or volume, and representative wall thickness. Recommendations can be accepted in whole or in part, and the operator can also fine-tune the settings before loading them. The wizard takes into account the screw type.
