Revere Plastics Systems LLC (Novi, MI), a supplier of plastic injection molded parts and assemblies, announced the acquisition of certain operations and assets of the Fraser, MI, facility of Sur-Flo Plastics & Engineering Inc., a manufacturer of large-tonnage injection molded parts and assemblies. Revere has hired the facility’s employees and will continue to serve its existing customer base.
The acquisition, announced on Jan. 4, will grow Revere’s manufacturing footprint to five locations. In addition to the Novi-based headquarters, Revere currently operates plants in Clyde, OH; Jeffersonville, IN; Poplar Bluff, MO; and Brampton, ON, Canada. The company recently moved its corporate headquarters to Novi to support sales growth and diversification across multiple industries, including appliance, automotive, medical, lawn and garden, and consumer goods.
Prior to the acquisition of Sur-Flo’s Fraser facility, Revere operated 270+ injection molding presses ranging from 25 to 1,880 tons in 600,000 square feet across its operations. The Fraser plant houses 35 injection molding presses ranging from 45 to 3,300 tons, as well as other equipment enabling a variety of value-added secondary operations such as post-mold assembly and vibration welding.
The Fraser operation currently serves automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers nationwide, offering full-service plastics manufacturing capabilities with functional exterior and interior products including fascia bracket systems, radiator and front grille support systems, ornamental exterior appliqués, underbody splash and aero shields.
“This acquisition supports Revere’s vision for growth while investing in the community, securing jobs and building on Revere's and the Fraser operation’s initiatives,” commented Glen Fish, CEO of Revere Plastics Systems. “We are excited to integrate our complementary capabilities and invest in the Fraser operation including adding additional engineering support. The transaction reinforces Revere as a leader in the plastic injection molding industry by adding to its capabilities while remaining dedicated to delivering highly engineered, complex parts. Revere plans to continue executing its growth strategy through future acquisitions.”
Revere Plastics Systems has more than 50 years of experience in plastics and manufacturing. Capabilities include stack, insert, tandem, multi-shot and vertical molding; in-mold labeling; welding; assembly; and testing. The company employs more than 1,000 people.
