Demag Plastics Machinery (Ningbo) Co. Ltd. manufactures the Systec C machine series in Ningbo, making machines with a clamping force range from 500 to 10,000 kN (50 to 1000 tons). The company said additional machine series will be produced in the Ningbo factory in the future, but it did not identify which ones. The full Systec line, which is the company's hydraulic system, is available with clamping forces from 350 through 20,000 kN.

One goal of the expansion is to boost the amount of machines the company exports out of China. At this point in time, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag said 25%  of the production is exported, with presses shipped to molders in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Demag Plastics Machinery (Ningbo) Co. Ltd. has been manufacturing injection molding machines for the Chinese and other Asian markets since 1998. The operation moved into a new plant in 2007, with 11,000 sq m of production space.
