Universal Mold Pressure Interface Works With All Types Of Sensors

0401-pn-11.jpgRJG's Universal Mold Pressure Interface (UMPI) is designed to provide mold pressure transducer users with a convenient and simple interface to the company's Insight 'plug-and-play'system for process monitoring andcontrol (Jul '00 PA, p 24). The UMPI works with all industry standard strain gage piezoelectric sensors, as wellas with RJG's new line of Lynx digital sensors.

Based on type of input, the UMPI scales the input signal from the sensor and sends a digital signal to the Insight System. The UMPI is designed tointerface and communicate with Lynx sensors and an eDART or ePAK.

One of the benefits cited forthe UMPI is that it does not require extensive hardware installation orsoftware set-up. The user just connects it to a mold pressure sensor and the UMPI notifies the eDART which type of sensor is installed. The eDART then leads the user through the software settings.
