Custom injection molder Venture Plastics Inc. continues to invest in its processing facilities in Newton Falls, OH, and El Paso, TX, to accommodate growth.
A new Nissei FNX180 with 197 U.S. tons clamping force and a 15.5-ounce shot size is scheduled for installation May 1 at the Newton Falls plant. A Yushin full servo robot and RJG eDart process control system has been installed. The new press brings the Newton Falls plant to 20 injection molding machines ranging from 55 to 1,440 tons.
Venture Plastics also recently added a CreatorBot 3D Pro Series II 3D printer to help implement 3D printing in manufacturing production processes while providing functional models and parts for use on specific projects. This model will be used for developing quick-turn jigs, production/coordinate measuring machine (CMM) holding fixtures and end-of-arm tools. It will also create preliminary printed part models for customers.
In the quality area, the company has successfully installed a new Zeiss Contura G2 CMM in the Newton Falls plant. Venture Plastics is also upgrading the El Paso, TX, facility’s quality lab with a Brown and Sharp Xcel CMM running with Zeiss Calypso software.
Between the two facilities, Venture Plastics offers a wide range of injection molding machines capable of serving a diversified customer base, including but not limited to industrial, consumer, major appliance, truck, agriculture, automotive, fuel delivery and communication markets.
