Viking Plastics has announced a redesigned partnership with Poly-Cast, an injection molding company based in Suzhou, China.

According to Viking, the goal of the partnership is to facilitate the exchange of products, technologies, and best practices between the two companies.

Viking also noted that the partnership will enable both companies to better meet their customers' regional manufacturing requirements, ensuring they are served with advanced capabilities, competitive pricing, and localized support. By leveraging the global solutions developed by both companies over the years, the collaboration is designed to enhance customer satisfaction.

Shawn Goss, president and CEO of Viking Plastics, expressed enthusiasm for the continued partnership.

“I am pleased to continue our relationship with Poly-Cast and build on the previous 15+ years with this strategic alliance,” Goss said. “Poly-Cast is a systems-driven, high-quality injection molding supplier with many similarities to Viking. We look forward to providing our customers with international sources for quality injection-molded and assembled products.”

According to Viking, the expanded partnership not only strengthens the relationship between the two companies but also enhances their ability to meet customer demands, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation within the injection molding community.

Founded in 2006, Poly-Cast Suzhou operates 17 injection molding machines and serves the automotive and industrial markets. The company’s core competencies include complex overmolding, insert molding, fabric molding, safety components, and processing within tight tolerances.

Poly-Cast partnered with Viking Plastics in 2008, establishing the relationship between PolyCast Plastics Suzhou and Viking. This enhanced relationship focuses on providing comprehensive global manufacturing solutions to meet the needs of clients across various markets.

Founded in 1972, Viking Plastics is a privately held company that is part of the Hoffmann family of companies. Viking delivers innovative products, including sealing solutions, custom injection molding, assembly, and post-molding secondary services.

Viking Plastics provides custom injection molding and post-molding secondary services for a variety of industries. Headquartered in Corry, PA, Viking has additional locations in Louisville, KY, and Jeffersonville, IN. The company operates more than 100 injection molding machines globally, along with several automated assembly cells. 

Capabilities range from 50- to 720-ton injection molding, as well as 2-shot, insert molding, value-added assemblies, and automated assembly cells. Viking Plastics is IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
