Interstate Plastics now offers UHMW Tivar HPV

Interstate Plastics, a full-line distributor of sheets, rods, tubes, bars and profiles, is now offering Tivar HPV, a high performance Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) bearing grade material - the leading non-slip material for extreme wear applications. Tivar HPV is a dry-running sliding material designed to enhance motion and reduce friction among conveying systems and bearings.

Developed by Quadrant, a global plastics manufacturer, Tivar HPV is FDA approved and offers improved safety ratings and the longest possible wear life without deformation, said Interstate Plastics.

Interstate-Plastics-Tivar.jpegTivar HPV features the lowest coefficient of friction available for any UHMW grade, due in part to a specialized built-in dry lubricant formula. Tivar HPV demonstrates improved sliding behavior by offering a near-zero level of slip-stick and removes backsliding issues that occur in production environments that experience high-pressure conditions. The elevated sliding performance reduces friction forces during operation, minimizing both energy consumption and risk of costly damage.

The sliding advantage produced from the dry lubricant generates a smoother, quieter operation without the need of extra product, and offers precise motion control while eliminating squeaking and chatter.
