K 2004 is here. The Oct. 20-27 show at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany is the biggest plastics trade show in the world, and the chances are pretty good that you will be among the 250,000 expected to fills the halls, assessing the latest and greatest in materials, machinery, and equipment technology.
Any experienced K show-goer will tell you that you can''t go to this massive exposition without a little preparation. At 158,000 sq m (1.7 million sq ft), there''s a lot of space to cover, and this year''s K promises to be the biggest yet.
You''ll find much inside this issue to help you get to and from the show, including a map of the fairgrounds, a map of the roads around the fairgrounds, maps of Düsseldorf, and tips on transportation and dining. Following that is our final preview of products being introduced at the K show, ranging from new materials to injection molding machines and robotic systems.
You can look for Modern Plastics at the show as well. We are, once again, the exclusive publisher of the only English-language daily newspaper at K. Every day MP''s editors will keep you up to date on the news from the show, providing coverage of new product announcements, press conferences, and other industry news. Look for our assistants at the show entrances, handing out free copies of the Modern Plastics K Show Daily.
If you can''t be at the show, you can still keep current on happenings at K. Visit www.modplas.com and click on the K Corner. Here you''ll find all of our K 2004 preview reports (materials, auxiliaries, machinery), as well as exhibitor profiles and all of the daily reports filed during the show itself. Check in here each day of the show for all of the latest news.
Finally, after the show, Modern Plastics will be hard at work to keep you current. It''s impossible to see everything that K has to offer, so the January 2005 issue of Modern Plastics will feature a complete show report covering all of the products, technologies, and trends from K 2004, including materials, additives, machinery, equipment, auxiliaries, and supplies.
Be sure to stop by and visit us while you''re in Düsseldorf. We''re in the North Entrance of the fairgrounds, stand 04. Best of luck at K, and we''ll see you there.
