K Show Daily goes to MPW, IMM

Even as processors and suppliers prepare for next month’s NPE show, an even larger industry event–K 2010–is fast approaching, and PlasticsToday learned today (May 7) that its flagship publications, Modern Plastics Worldwide and Injection Molding Magazine, have been awarded the rights to publish the English-language show daily newspaper for that event.

The K show is always packed, as seen here at Engel’s booth in 2007, and MPW and IMM look forward to again wading through the crowds in search of news for the K Show Daily.

“We’re pleased and honored to again be selected by Messe Dusseldorf to publish the K Show Daily. It’s a significant responsibility and a lot of work, but also an awful lot of fun for our staff,” said Patrick Lundy, publisher of MPW and IMM. “We’re still busily making arrangements for NPE, but the K Show is a huge event and it’s never too early to start preparing for it.”

NPE traditionally has been the unofficial start of K tradeshow preparations, and NPE2009 will prove no different as Messe Düsseldorf, which organizes the K (Kunststoffe, German for “plastics”), will offer NPE attendees a wealth of information from its NPE booth, S54020. There attendees can find visitor as well as exhibitor information, plus brochures with information about hotel and travel arrangements, not only for the triennial K show but also for other plastics industry tradeshows organized by Messe Düsseldorf including Tiprex 2009, Thai International Plastics & Rubber Exhibition for the Indochina Region (scheduled for Sept. 23-26, 2009 in Bangkok), M-Plas 2009, 4th International Plastics and Rubber Trade Fair for Malaysia (at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Nov. 4-7, 2009), and Interplastica 2010, International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber  (to be staged in January 2010 in Moscow, Russia).

K 2010 will be held Oct. 27 – Nov. 3, 2010 in Düsseldorf, Germany. At the show’s last staging in 2007, 3130 exhibitors from 58 countries and 242,000 visitors from 100 nations took part.

NPE attendees too busy to visit the stand but keen to learn more can contact Messe Düsseldorf North America, based in Chicago, at 312/781-5180, via email [email protected], or through its website.
