Kautex extends KCC compact extrusion blowmolding line

Article-Kautex extends KCC compact extrusion blowmolding line

Following the introduction of the KCC 10 D extrusion blowmolding machine at the show last year, Kautex Maschinenbau GmbH will expand its series of compact machines with the introduction of the KCC 5 D system at Chinaplas 2010 (Shanghai, April 19-22; Hall E1, on Stand E41). The double-station machine is equipped with a triple-die head. Mold cavities on both sides allow it to produce twice as many articles as a conventional single-station machine, with virtually the same space requirement.

will expand its series of compact machines with the introduction of the KCC 5 D system at Chinaplas 2010 (Shanghai, April 19-22; Hall E1, on Stand E41). The double-station machine is equipped with a triple-die head. Mold cavities on both sides allow it to produce twice as many articles as a conventional single-station machine, with virtually the same space requirement. The KCC 5 D mold cavities are arranged so that three articles with open end up and three packages with open end down can be molded in each cycle on each station.

Kautex says the double-station machine is suitable for all conventional blowmolding materials and produces consumer packaging from 50 ml to approximately 5 liters. Wall-thickness distribution is controlled via software, and outfitted with a total of 12 cavities, the smallest machine of the KCC series provides a production rate of approximately 4320 containers/hr. Dry cycle time is 1.9 seconds, with a maximum clamping force is 60 KN.
