Keeping tabs on cooling

Article-Keeping tabs on cooling

A new sensor measures the difference in coolant pressure between mold inlet and outlet, giving processors a window into their cooling process's capabilities and performance. The LS-DP-100 Lynx Delta Pressure Sensor from RJG allows molders to set alarms if there are any abnormalities found in the cooling system, ranging from complete shutdown to tiny obstruction. Cooling makes up the longest portion of a cycle, and efficient cooling can shorten that time and ensure higher quality parts. RJG Inc., Traverse City, MI; 231-947-3111; www.rjginc.com
