EXTRUSION A new wide-gap measurement-head design is credited by this manufacturer with enabling it to offer a version of its ‘Precision Profiler’ for offline thickness measurement that can measure materials up to 0.125 inch (0.3175 cm) thick. The model PR2000B-T provides non-contact performance for thick plastic film and other materials that are difficult or impossible to measure through contacting means. It includes a software package that provides statistics and reports and can export data for use in other software applications. The measurement head has an averaging area of 0.25 x 2.1 inches.
