Weight saving with low VOCs to boot in seat component.

Z-Series engineered resins exceed the new VDA 275 performance targets for low VOCs and provided a natural lubricity, thus eliminating the need for any traditional grease or lubricants. The use of Tenac-C enabled vehicle weight reduction of 400 grams. per lumbar support mechanism. These eco-friendly features earned Tenac-C a nomination in the Environmental category at the 2010 SPE Automotive Innovation Awards.

"We are pleased to be able to support OEMs in their push to improve air quality in automotive interiors," said John Moyer, president of Asahi Kasei Plastics North America. "Surpassing the most stringent global OEM standards for VOC emissions is no small feat and we look forward to other industries where we can apply this technology."-[email protected]
