Family-owned Brentwood, which has applied plastic technologies to solving an array of customer challenges for more than 50 years, announced today the acquisition of Enexio’s Water Technologies business unit from Kelvion. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Enexio group of companies includes Enexio Water Technologies GmbH, Enexio Water Technologies s.r.o., Enexio UK Ltd., and Shandong Xinde Water Treatment Technology Co. Ltd. Brentwood said that the acquisition provides added capabilities, increases its worldwide sales and engineering presence, and brings new areas of expertise.

Notably, Enexio Water Technologies brings polypropylene processing capability to Brentwood, providing the company with a platform for introducing its stormwater management products to the European market and cooling tower products to the Chinese market, and enables it to enter the mass transfer industry. The integration of these two plastics producers will also enable the growth of Brentwood’s existing products. Employees of the combined companies have hundreds of years of experience in cooling tower technology and water/wastewater treatment.

Brentwood will maintain its existing sites in the United States, India, Thailand, Mexico, and the Czech Republic. Through the acquisition, it will gain a manufacturing plant and sales office in Germany, a sales office in England, an assembly operation in the Czech Republic, and a joint venture manufacturing plant in China.

Based in Reading, PA, Brentwood describes itself as an industry leader in the development, engineering, and production of plastic solutions for cooling tower, medical, water treatment, transportation, stormwater management, construction, and battery applications.
