Maruka to feature high-speed molding at PLASTEC Minneapolis

Cycle time is everything! Maruka USA (Pine Brook, NJ), the exclusive North American distributor of Toyo and FCS injection molding systems, will demonstrate just what high-speed molding can offer in reducing cycle time while maintaining precision molding at PLASTEC Minneapolis in November. Live demonstrations of both brands' latest technologies will be given at Booth 527 during the event, which takes place at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis on November 4 and 5. The continuously running demos will show how medical and other parts can be made with precision and ease by two of the newest injection molding systems on the market.

"Today's molders are looking for high-performance, energy-efficient systems that can output thousands of parts with the same precision and quality," said Maruka USA Product Manager Dale Bartholomew. "With Maruka, they get that along with the ability to choose the brand and technology—FCS servo driven hydraulics or Toyo all-electrics—that best meet their needs."

Hundreds of exhibitors will display their plastics processing and manufacturing expertise at the co-located PLASTEC Minneapolis and MD&M Minneapolis events during Minnesota Medtech Week on November 4 and 5, 2015.

The all-electric Si-55-6 from Toyo that is being showcased at Maruka's booth is the most compact machine in Toyo's popular Si series. Its v-shaped clamp directs force to the center of the mold, resulting in more uniform pressure on the entire mold surface. Other new features, said Maruka, include high-performance Hitachi motors, a digital load cell for greater stability, reduced drag on the screw and extruder, easy access to the clamp and ejector, and an enhanced mold protection system.

Also being demonstrated at the show is the HA-110SV, an energy-efficient, servo-driven hydraulic machine from FCS, which features an enhanced, user-friendly controller and intuitive display. It's also easier to maintain, thanks to oil-free bearings built into the system. The HA-110SV features a rigid clamping unit that balances force across the entire mold surface. Its servo pump turns off when not in use, reducing power consumption and workplace noise. Precise control of machine movement ensures greater part consistency, Maruka stated.

All Toyo and FCS machines are backed by Maruka's nationwide network of service and support.

PLASTEC Minneapolis is co-located with the medical manufacturing trade show and conference MD&M Minneapolis, which is part of Minnesota Medtech Week. For more about this event, read, "Minneapolis hosts Minnesota Medtech Week."
