What's Hot! Two new off-line gages that measure thickness and profile of film samples will be introduced. Models 210 and self-calibrating 210A have state-of-the-art electronics and statistical process control (SPC) software.

The company says Model 210 is an evolutionary upgrade in its gaging instrument line that uses capacitance technology for high-resolution detection of microscopic changes in film thickness. Units work by relating film thickness to the dielectric of a specific product. Therefore, the self-calibrating Model 210A is useful to film producers using post-consumer recycled materials of unknown dielectric.

The SPC software is Windows- compatible and able to capture and analyze significant statistical information on various thickness and profile parameters. Users can build real-time 'snapshot' reports that chart polar, profile and deviation plots, as well as dynamic control. Reports can be viewed on the monitor or printed out. An optional network-compatible workstation package allows data transfer over a network. Circle 346
