ExtruMed LLC (Placentia, CA) has acquired catheter balloon, shaft, and multi-lumen tubing extruder Innovative Extrusions LLC (Livermore, CA), saying the deal expands its capabilities and presence in the “vibrant Northern California medical-device design and development community.” ExtruMed specializes in catheter tubing extrusions for critical applications, including: vascular intervention catheter and balloon tubing; electrostimulation implant tubing; and pain control leads and endosurgery catheter tubing. Clarence Williams, founder of Innovative Extrusions, will remain with the combined company in the role of plant manager. The combined company will be known as ExtruMed Livermore.
