Bronze, silver, and gold winners in the prestigious Medical Design Excellence Awards were announced during a reception on June 11 at the Medical Design & Manufacturing conference and exhibition in New York City. The recipients of gold awards are featured in this slide show.
The devices were chosen among dozens of finalists in 11 categories for their significant contribution to advancing innovation in healthcare. From dissolvable drug-eluting implants that treat sinusitis to robotics-assisted rehab for mobility-impaired patients, they represent the state of the art in medical technology in 2014.
All of the finalists are profiled by sister publication MD+DI. The Medical Design Excellence Awards are produced by UBM Canon, which also publishes PlasticsToday.
