Automation & Sustainability Take the Stage in Montréal
On November 13 and 14, the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo in Montréal will explore automation in medtech and look at sustainability in the plastics industry.

At the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo in Montréal (taking place on November 13 and 14), experts will look at advances in medical automation and assembly in the session, Medical Automation & Assembly: Medtech in Montréal. This session will be followed by Innovating for Sustainability in the Plastics Industry, a look at the efforts by Husky to deploy sustainability.
Both sessions will be moderated by Jim Beretta, president of Customer Attraction, an industrial marketing firm based in London, Ontario. He is an independent marketing strategist and content creator specializing in automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
While many of the sessions at the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo in Montréal will be delivered in French, Beretta’s sessions will be presented in English. You can register for the event here.
Medical Automation & Assembly: Medtech in Montréal

Beretta will quiz leaders about emerging technology in medtech. “The expert panel includes Colin Phelps from Convergix Automation; Michael Muldoon from AV&R; and Bertrand Gauvreau from Averna,” said Beretta. “All three are based out of Montréal. The panel topic is centered around medical automation and assembly and in general Medtech in Montréal.”
Beretta noted that the panel will look at what’s involved in developing medical automation. “Attend the panel to find out what is trending in automation technologies and what customers are concerned about when designing complex automated systems,” said Beretta. “We will also look at how they use technologies to track, trace, and ensure good product manufacturing from automation and robotics.”
Innovating for Sustainability in the Plastics Industry

The session on sustainability in the plastics industry will present a case study on how Husky is deploying sustainability efforts. “People, technology, and innovation are key elements of what is going on at Husky Technologies today,” said Beretta. “Husky is a big believer in sustainability and is active in reporting, innovating, and making commitments to their many stakeholders. We’ll look at circularity, climate change, and sustainability.”
Jim Beretta will host Jolene Milne, sustainability analyst from Husky Technologies. “This fireside chat will cover the efforts in education, innovation, and transparency at Husky,” said Beretta.
