Design engineers in the medical device industry face unique challenges. In their quest to deliver cutting-edge medical technology that advances healthcare, these engineers play key roles in supporting product safety and efficacy, satisfying quality and performance requirements, achieving design for manufacturability, and meeting stringent regulations and standards.

Medtech design engineers may need a little support along the way. Several product development, design, and engineering services firms will be exhibiting at the upcoming MEDevice Boston September 25-26. We asked these companies to share some of the product design engineering trends they are seeing in the medical device space and how they can help design engineers working for medical device companies.

Click through our slideshow to learn more and be sure to attend MEDevice Boston to see some of these ideas in action. For a full list of design services companies exhibiting at the show, click here.

Informa Markets Engineering, publisher of Design News, announced earlier this year that its two BIOMEDevice events would each be rebranded as MEDevice, an MD&M event. MEDevice Boston will take place on Sep. 25-26 and MEDevice Silicon Valley will be held Nov. 20-21, 2024.

Melissa Magestro, VP Informa Markets Engineering, said earlier this year of the announcement: “MEDevice aims to pave the way in medical device manufacturing and the new name reflects our vision to be the most trusted source and partner in pioneering the future of medtech innovation.”
